Between forest and water
SANVIT Lake Resort & Spa Hotel is located between the White Lake and Sobibor Landscape Park. In order to get to know the charms of the surrounding nature, we offer five variants of excursions differentiated by the length of the routes. Hiking trails Variant I: "Seven Wlodawa Lakes" trail - yellow, length 20,7 km ORCHÓWEK PKP - J. Orchowe - J. Białe - J.Czarne - J. Rogóźne - J. Lipieniec - J. Święte - J.Glinki - ORCHÓWEK PKP. The trail is designed mainly for those vacationing at Lake Bialy. It starts at the bus stop by the Chelm - Wlodawa road. It runs east along the southern part of the "White Lake bypass" through Tarasiuki, behind which sandy roads it plunges into the pine stands of the Sobiborski Forest. On the northern side of the road, in the dry pine forests, one can spot dozens of earthen mounds constituting a barrow cemetery, which may date back to the 2nd millennium BC. On the southern side, we pass Lake Orchowe, which is under reserve protection due to the surrounding water and peat bog communities with unique vascular flora. We continue walking north along the "nadbużanka" (Chełm - Włodawa highway running along the Bug River), from which we turn towards Lake Glinki, then Lake Święte and Lipieniec. The trail heads south bypassing Lake Rogoźne, and then through the forest Lake Czarne closing the bypass at the bus stop. Variant II : "Sobiborska Loop" trail - green 11,3 km long. SOBIBÓR PKP - J. Pereszpa - SOBIBÓR PKP. Sobibór is a forest settlement located in the heart of the Sobibor Forest. From the station, the trail leads toward the place where during World War II, in an extermination camp established by the Germans, about 250,000 people were killed, mostly Jews from Lublin and abroad - the Netherlands, Belgium, France and the former USSR. The camp was established in March 1942, and was liquidated in October 1943 after a successful uprising and escape of prisoners. A forest was planted where the camp stood. Of the post-camp buildings, the commandant's house and an observation tower have survived. There is also a museum at the site and the beginning of a memorial path to the victims of the death camp. It leads along an asphalt avenue to a monument depicting a figure of a woman with a child and a wall of weeping. Near this place there is a mound - the Brother's Grave. Then the trail leads through the central area of the Sobibor Forests. They are part of the International Biosphere Reserve "Polesie Zachodnie", they are under landscape protection (Sobiborski Landscape Park). At a distance of about 2.5 km there is the "Turtle Mud" Reserve, which includes birch and alder swamp forests, as well as three mid-forest lakes and numerous ponds. A viewing tower was built over the largest of them, J. Common. A little earlier you can meet a shelter on the road, which invites you to rest under a wooden roof. Then, in accordance with the markings of the trail, go in the direction of the Sobibór Railway Station, where the end of the hiking trail occurs. Variant III: "Three Lakes" trail - blue, length 21.7 km. Sobibór PKP - Sobibór Nadleśnictwo - Trzy Jeziora reserve; Lake Brudno; fishery; shore of Lake Płotycze - Stulno - eastern edge of Małoziemce reserve - Majdan Stuleński; park with monumental trees 8 ash trees and 1 pedunculate oak - hill 208,3 m. above sea level on Włodawski Arc - Nadbużanka - Wola Uhruska - Uhrusk PKP. The Three Lakes area covers an area of 749.34 hectares. The trail is surrounded by peat bogs and swampy alder forests, which are a sanctuary for game, including elk and wolves. Beaver and otter are numerous here. There are also stands of rare swamp plants. There is a small section of sandy shoreline next to the path, which provides access to the lake. Plotycze is characterized by low oxygen content, which is bound to humic substances and directly related iron compounds, which causes a specific brown or rusty color of the water. Bicycle routes Variant I: Bicycle trail " By the contact of borders " - red, length 26 km. Trail marked in red, the route leads along the Bug River and reaches a length of 26 km. Along the route gazebos and a viewing tower have been built. The route is marked by 12 information boards with a map of the path. The bicycle trail "By the contact of borders" begins in the southeastern part of Wlodawa municipality, in Okuninka runs through Sobiborski Landscape Park, Lake Orchowe reserve, Dubnik, where the borders of Poland, Ukraine and Belarus converge, the so-called border triangle. The route then follows the valley of the Bug River to the town of Orchówek, passes through Włodawa, Suszno, Szuminka and Różanka to end its course in Stawki. There are three stopping places along the route: in Różanka on the Bug River and in Orchówek, where there is also a viewing tower. The route is not difficult mostly leads through flat terrain. Surfaces are varied, with a predominance of dirt roads. This route allows you to get to know the Wlodawa municipality - a beautiful land of lakes, marshes, peat bogs, riparian forests with a great wealth of fauna and flora. On the route, in addition to natural and scenic qualities, there are also cultural heritage sites, including historic Orthodox churches, churches, manor complexes. Variant II: Włodawa - Okuninka - Wola Uhruska - yellow, length 37 km. Włodawa Kraszewskiego street, bridge over Włodawka river, Okuninka, J. Białe, Złobek Mały, J. Common (Reserve "Żółwiwe Błota" - observation tower, tourist canopy), Sobibór - Reserve "Lake Brudzieniec", Reserve "Three Lakes", Stulno, Majdan Stulenski (Podworski Park), Reserve "Małoziemce", Wola Uhruska (hill "Monument", Wola Uhruska GOKSiR (canopy).
